Version 0.1.3 Scrolling through


Welcome back everyone!  This update focuses on expanding and improving Sword of the Spirit's UI elements such as the pause menu and HUD.  Changes include:

  • Incorporated the Almendra font throughout the game's text to better fit the tone and setting
  • Created a proper logo for the title screen
  • Included three difficulty options: Adventurer, Warrior, and Martyr
  • Added a scroll collectible which strengthens your attack when collected
  • Expanded the pause menu into sub sections
  • Added a player info sub section which describes your current stats
    • A map sub section
    • A scroll sub section where you can view scrolls you've found
    • A bestiary sub section where you can view stats and descriptions of enemies
    • An options sub section which contains the existing volume controls and the new difficulty options
  • Made an effect where the mana count flashes yellow upon collecting mana
  • Crafted a similar effect where the player and enemy names flash red when taking damage
  • Implemented pop-ups that indicate damage dealt in combat

Once again I'd like to thank all who have taken interest in my project.  Life has been giving me some trials this past month especially, but working on Sword of the Spirit gives me joy and purpose.  Thus I feel it is my calling to continue this project.
