Version 0.1.1 The wide world


For this update, I focused on making the world of Sword of the Spirit more immersive by giving the landscape much more depth.  While a narrow strip of land can suffice for the gameplay needs of SOTS, I wanted the game visually to take place in full 3D to provide more opportunities for world building and make it stand out visually.  Along with this change, I have also done the following:

  • Gave the palm trees unique models for both the trunk and leaves, replacing the default unity cubes
  • Created models for the worry and spite projectiles
  • Added bushes to both the background and foreground
  • Angled the walls, rocks, and palm trees of the level to create a more organic landscape

The two week interval seems to be working, so hopefully you can expect the next update by the 12th of October.  For now, thank you for taking interest in my project!
